The aim of this course is to introduce you to legislation regarding equality and diversity and explore the concept of inclusion.

The aims: To be introduced to legislation regarding equality and diversity and explore the concept of inclusion.

The objectives: 

  • To understand the Equality Act and how it affects volunteers
  • To explore what is meant by equality and diversity
  • To be able to put into use 'inclusion' in support that is provided
  • How to reduce isolation and promote inclusion

Completion of this course will enable you to:
• Understand the role and responsibilities of a First Aider
• Be able to assess an incident
• Be able to provide first aid to an unresponsive casualty
• Be able to provide first aid to a casualty that is choking
• Be able to provide first aid to a casualty with external bleeding
• Know how to provide first aid to a casualty that is in shock
• Know how to provide first aid to a casualty with minor injuries
Please note: There is a £50 charge for this course.
