The aims of this training session are to give practical information on food handling and safe preparation and how to control the spread of infection.

 

 

 The objectives:

  • To understand the chain of infection
  • To practice washing  hands properly
  • To ensure safety in food preparation
  • To know correct chilling and cooking temperatures
  • To understand possible causes of food poisoning and the best way to avoid the possibility

  This session includes breaks with refreshments.

Target Audience:   Volunteers and Volunteer Co-ordinators linked to community or voluntary organisations and/or organisations who are members of HVA.

Costs: This is a FREE course for any delegate within the target audience group

This course is being run in partnership with the East Sussex County Council, and the venue costs have been waived by HVA

Please advise us as soon as you can if you have booked a space but unable to attend, so that we can make the space available to another participant.  Failure to attend without notice will incur a charge of £30 per person. This charge applies to all agencies.
