Emotional Resilience

The aim of Emotional Resilience training is to explore our own resilience to emotional 'stress' triggers and methods of minimising the impact of emotional responses.


  • To share our backgrounds and current stress factors
  • to understand why we respond to stress
  • To practice tools to help reduce stress
  • To know where to turn for more advice and information

This session includes breaks with refreshments

Target Audience:   Volunteers and Volunteer Co-ordinators linked to community or voluntary organisations and/or organisations who are members of HVA.

Costs: This is a FREE course for any delegate within the target audience group

This course is being run in partnership with the East Sussex County Council, and the venue costs have been waived by HVA

Please advise us as soon as you can if you have booked a space but unable to attend, so that we can make the space available to another participant.  Failure to attend without notice will incur a charge of £30 per person. This charge applies to all agencies.

Women’s Aid are looking for community members in Hastings and St. Leonards to join our “ask me” scheme and create communities against domestic abuse. We’d love for you to be part of the scheme. The “ask me” scheme will train members of the community to become ask me ambassadors. The training will increase your awareness of what a helpful response to domestic abuse looks like, and give you the knowledge and skills to signpost people towards the specialist help they need.
