Basic Risk Assessment for Voluntary Organisations

The aim of this training is to give practical advice on developing a basic risk assessment for new clients. Objectives: • To understand the importance of an initial home visit to access risk (for client and volunteers) • To appreciate the assessment as part of establishing professional boundaries. • To use the risk assessment cycle • To be able to take into account positive risk. • To develop a risk assessment template based on the aims and objectives of the organisation. This session includes breaks with refreshments. Trainer: Renee Jasper-Griffiths ESCC Training and development consultant

Target Audience:   Volunteers and Volunteer Co-ordinators linked to community or voluntary organisations and/or organisations who are members of HVA.

Costs: This is a FREE course for any delegate within the target audience group

This course is being run in partnership with the East Sussex County Council, and the venue costs have been waived by HVA

Please advise us as soon as you can if you have booked a space but unable to attend, so that we can make the space available to another participant.  Failure to attend without notice will incur a charge of £30 per person. This charge applies to all agencies.
