Hastings Community Network Open Meeting - HBC Budget Consultation

You are invited to Hastings Community Network Open Meeting to discuss: Hastings Borough Council's Draft Corporate Plan and Budget Consultation, which will soon be listed on their website:
https://www.hastings.gov.uk/my_council/consultations/

The meeting will include:

  • An opportunity for HCN members to join with the leader of the council, Councillor Peter Chowney and members of the Hastings Community Network Executive Committee to discuss the HBC Draft Corporate Plan and Budget Consultation.

  • This will be followed by a Q and A session / opportunity to respond the HBC's Corporate Plan and Budget.

  • A discussion on HCN members views on what opportunities may exist for the sector in this operating environment plus a chance to help prioritise the work of HCN over the next 6 months.

  • An opportunity for HCN members to join with the leader of the council, Councillor Peter Chowney and members of the Hastings Community Network Executive Committee to discuss the HBC Draft Corporate Plan and Budget Consultation.

  • This will be followed by a Q and A session / opportunity to respond to HBC’s Corporate Plan and Budget.

HVA would like to invite you to a 4-hour workshop designed to raise awareness of common mental health issues, an overview of what support is available and how to navigate the local mental health system.
The workshop will consist of:
• A look at how common Mental Health issues develop
• An overview of some common conditions
• Depression
• Anxiety
• Psychosis
• Personality disorders/ Complex Trauma
• Self- harm and other expressions of distress
• Where to get help if someone is suicidal
• An overview of the local Mental health system and supports
• An interactive discussion about experiences
• Managing your own wellbeing
You will receive a workshop pack including a list of useful contacts and resources.

The course aims to raise awareness of child protection issues and procedures and the signs and indicators of child abuse.
To enable staff to identify and respond to child protection concerns and to become aware of ESCC Child Protection Procedures to encourage and develop effective inter-agency communication where child protection matters arise.
