HCN locality networking event - marketplace and open mic

This is an opportunity to share information about your work, learn about the range of services that are delivered in Hastings & St Leonards, browse the marketplace, and network with a mixture of people from the voluntary, statutory and independent sectors. (over 40 people have booked onto this event so far) Let us know if you would to have a marketplace stall and/or a 5 minute open mic slot.

This event is organised by Hastings Community Network and East Sussex County Council. Registration will open at 9.30am for a 10.00am start, and the event will finish at 12.30pm with networking until 1.00pm

East Sussex County Council and Crowdfunder have launched Crowdfund East Sussex, and they will be running training sessions to explain how it works.
Crowdfunding is a different way to raise money for good ideas. Further information can be found on the website

together with a range of resources to help you or a group understand the steps to building a crowdfunding project. You can book also book onto one of the "How to Crowdfund" training sessions - the nearest one is in Hastings on 9 May 2019.

The course aims to raise awareness of child protection issues and procedures and the signs and indicators of child abuse. To enable staff to identify and respond to child protection concerns and to become aware of East Sussex County Council Child Protection Procedures to encourage and develop effective inter-agency communication where child protection matters arise.
