East Sussex Association of Blind & Partially Sighted People
East Sussex Assocation of Blind & Partially Sighted People aims to enhance the lives of people with sight loss and to promote independence. We have over 1,500 visually impaired members across the three rural districts of East Sussex and in Brighton & Hove. We make home visits to new referrals, provide an information help line and rehabilitation training, access to aids and equipment at our fully accessible Resource Centre just outside Hailsham or through our outreach service, social activities through our 14 social groups each meeting monthly and run by local volunteers, a free audio library and newsletter in various accessible formats, free audio equipment through British Wireless for the Blind, home visiting/befriending (in Brighton & Hove), vision awareness training for carers and paid staff or volunteers, and disability discrimination awareness training.
