Crossroads is an organisation that provides practical support for people who care for a disabled, ill or elderly frail person at home.Our aim is to help relieve the stress and strain on carers and give them and the people they care for an opportunity for a much-needed break. Crossroads provides a trained, reliable care attendant, at pre-arranged times, usually for a few hours, on a regular, weekly basis. The service enables the regular family carer to take a break, knowing that their relative/friend is being looked after. The service is chargeable and funding can sometimes be available from the local authority subject to assessment.
