Civil Service Pensioners Alliance Hastings and Bexhill Group
Aims to maintain and improve the purchasing power of all pensions from the Civil Service and related schemes, to initiate and participate in any action that will benefit pensioners and to promote the economic and social well-being of pensioners. This includes campaigning for better public transport, adult social care and reduced energy costs.
Open to active and former members and spouses of the Civil Service and related pension schemes;and to people entitled to benefits from these schemes who are with 10 years of their schemes pension age.
CSPA is non party political and democratically run with 60,000 members. It has regional groups, a national committee and headquarters and uses its influence with Ministers, MP's and other bodies reviewing or changing legislation on pensions, benefits, healthcare, transport, age discrimination and other issues of interest to its members. It is recognised by the Cabinet Office as speaking for all Civil Service Pensioners.
Membership is £18 a year for individuals and £25.20 for couples. Members can also access advice, assistance on pensions queries, state benefits and support for the elderly and a range of legal services.
