Hate Crime Service

A Hate Crime is any incident perceived by the person directly affected or any other person as being motivated by prejudice or hate which may or may not constitute a criminal offence; this can be because of a person’s:
•         Disability
•         Race or Ethnicity
•         Religion or Belief
•         Sexual Orientation
•         Gender Identity
The Hate Crime Service, funded by Hastings Borough Council, provides support and advice to those living in Hastings or St Leonards on Sea who have been affected by hate to:
•         Report incidents or crimes to Sussex Police
•         Support them through the reporting process; and
•         Access other relevant support services where appropriate.
The service can be accessed by calling HVA on 01424 444010 or emailing marc@hvauk.org
