Our role is to connect partners working on shared themes, to share learning with key stakeholders locally and nationally and to campaign for change.
Collaboration is key to our work and our local partners include social supermarkets, food banks, community chefs, growers and schools. We are also a member of Good Food East Sussex – a larger network working to build local food systems that work for our people, our economy and our environment. This larger network brings together the five East Sussex Local Food Partnerships and East Sussex County Council. We also work directly with Feeding Britain and Trussell on policy and strategy related issues.
Our work is done through mechanisms such as consultation, working groups, focus groups and through direct feedback from community food partners.

Following feedback from partners about the challenges of meeting regularly, we now bring organisations together through project-specific working groups and around funding opportunities as they arise. We also share regular updates on our work, along with relevant opportunities, events and initiatives that partners may wish to get involved in.
