Data Protection (GDPR) training

Registration is closed for this event
The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) will come into effect in 2018 - find out how this will affect your charity, community group or social enterprise.

Are You Ready for 2018?

Think you know about data protection – then think again…

The General Data Protection Regulation  (GDPR) is a new EU law that will come into effect on 25 May 2018 to replace the current Data Protection Act.
It’s the biggest overhaul of data protection legislation for over 25 years, and will introduce new requirements for how organisations process personal data.

And before you wonder what will happen after Brexit, it’s been made clear that all businesses and charities will have to comply, which means it is likely we
will adopt all or most of GDPR as domestic legislation.

In response to requests from our members HVA are running an introductory training session at which you can:-
  • Learn about the new regulations
  • Help to prepare the changes you may need to make
  • Ensure that your organisation is aware of your responsibilities in storing personal data

This training is free for representatives of HVA member organisations.
