Child Protection: Taking The Lead

This is a developmental course targeted at those with responsibility for Child Protection and Safeguarding in their organisation or group and you must have completed an Introduction To Child Protection course in the last two years. This is a developmental course targeted at those with responsibility for Child Protection and Safeguarding in their organisation or group and you must have completed an Introduction To Child Protection course.

 Course Aims/Objectives:

The roles and responsibilities involved in being the lead for child protection and safeguarding in a voluntary group

•    Creating a safe setting for staff and children and young people

•    Exploring dilemmas and issues involved in progressing safeguarding concerns

Target Audience:

•    Staff and volunteers who have responsibility for Child Protection and Safeguarding in their organisation or group

•    You must have completed an Introduction to Child Protection course in the past two years.

Costs:This course is being run in partnership with the LSCB, which will deliver the course free of charge, however,  there is an admin charge of £10. Please note that the fee is non-refundable. Trainers: Giovanna Simpson - LSCB Training and Development Consultant, and a voluntary sector trainer from Education Futures Trust or the MY Trust.

Events

This is a 2 hour course which can be emotional, a willingness to share with others is important. It is not necessary to reveal personal issues but the attendees must be willing to engage with exercises.
