Let's Celebrate! Charities Fair

Celebrating HVA’s 30th year and showcasing the best of local charities, groups and volunteers. Please join us and promote your activities! As a local group or organisation you are invited to participate in this celebratory event with a display and activity promoting your work. This event will be FREE, family friendly and open to the public. There will be fun & entertainment from local groups. This training covers how to respond to emergency situations, resuscitation, recovery, and life threatening health conditions. By successfully completing this course, participants will be awarded with a qualification in Emergency First Aid at Work. Emergency First Aid at Work courses train delegates to a level of skill and confidence to deal with basic life saving in emergency situations before medical backup arrives. There will be a £60 fee for this course.

Next week is National Volunteers Week and Hastings Voluntary Action will be celebrating how the community has come together to help and support each other with our first ever Virtual Volunteers Fair via Zoom. Register a time slot for your organisation to promote volunteer opportunities or celebrate volunteer stories and achievements.

The course aims to raise awareness of child protection issues and procedures and the signs and indicators of child abuse. To enable staff to identify and respond to child protection concerns and to become aware of East Sussex County Council Child Protection Procedures to encourage and develop effective inter-agency communication where child protection matters arise.
