A Volunteering Strategy for Hastings' Project Workshops Are you a volunteer in Hastings? The Institute for Volunteering Research at the University of East Anglia (Norfolk, UK) is working with Hastings Voluntary Action to understand volunteering experiences in Hastings, and how the future of volunteering can be best configured in Hastings. We are looking for volunteers in Hastings to share their experiences at an online workshop. The workshop will take place online using Zoom, for 90 minutes. Mr Hastings & St Leonards and HVA are bringing the Baton of Hope to Hastings on September 23rd, 2025, as part of the National Baton of Hope tour and you have the opportunity to carry the Baton on the Hastings Leg of the tour. Baton Bearers carry the Baton as a symbol of hope, togetherness solidarity and a shared purpose, whether that’s in memory of someone lost to suicide, suicide survivors or anyone who is passionate about suicide prevention. This is an opportunity to honour lives lost, raise awareness and spark conversations.
