Lone Working

Course Aims This course is aimed at voluntary organisations and volunteers to ensure they are aware of lone working risks and tips on how to avoid them. The course will cover: • The importance of a risk assessment • Recognising risks for volunteers • Safe lone working • Home visits • Recognising the warning signs of aggression • De-escalating and defusing aggressive situations • Knowing what resources exist • Reporting possible safeguarding concerns Target Audience: Anyone who works on their own, without direct supervision or support at any time.

Course Aims

• Sonia Blizzard, Managing Director from Beaming ISP for businesses, will speak about where AI has come from and the impact of AI on the workplace.
• Bill Neech, owner and Principle Consultant from Sands & Co will give a presentation sharing practical steps to establish, document, and review your organisation’s processes and workflows — what they are, why they matter, and how they drive consistency, efficiency, and better decision-making.
• Emily Wright, Business Manager from the Lets Do Business Group will give some examples of using AI.
