Mr Hastings & St Leonards and HVA are bringing the Baton of Hope to Hastings on September 23rd, 2025, as part of the National Baton of Hope tour and you have the opportunity to carry the Baton on the Hastings Leg of the tour. Baton Bearers carry the Baton as a symbol of hope, togetherness solidarity and a shared purpose, whether that’s in memory of someone lost to suicide, suicide survivors or anyone who is passionate about suicide prevention. This is an opportunity to honour lives lost, raise awareness and spark conversations.
Facilitated by Matt Jarvis from the Macmillan Horizon Centre. The session will explain what cancer is and how it develops, different risk factors, different treatment options, and much more. Matt has a clinical background and is happy to answer any relevant clinical questions you may have.
Hastings Ageing Network in partnership with the ESCC Tackling Loneliness project and Good Practice Mentors are hosting a dual session of Ageism training in the morning and Warm Welcome training Warm Welcome training in the afternoon. Book for one or both (separate bookings required).
