Hastings Voluntary Action are holding a Volunteer Recruitment Stall in Hastings Town Centre outside Caffe Neros to promote and highlight the benefits of volunteering. We will be joined by people from local organisations looking for volunteers who will be happy to speak to you on the day. Come and have a chat with us and find out about volunteering opportunities in Hastings. The aims: To give practical tools for developing communication skills
The objectives:
• Understanding how and why we communicate
• Appreciation of how others interact with us in face –to-face communication and how we interact with others
• Understand a person’s right to own their own information (data protection)
• Tips on how to overcome barriers to communication
This workshop will provide you with information about Diabetes and what local support is available. Suitable for anyone with the condition or who just wants to find out more.
