The Senior Volunteering Coordinator is a part-time, home-based role within Liberty Choir’s Prison Operations team, responsible for coordinating and supporting around 100 volunteers working across its growing network of UK prison choirs. The role manages the full volunteer journey, including recruitment, interviews, vetting, induction, training, ongoing support and exit, while ensuring volunteering is accessible, inclusive, safe and well organised. Key responsibilities include maintaining accurate and confidential records, responding to volunteer enquiries, improving communications, adapting processes to prison security requirements, and working closely with prison staff, musicians and the Prison Operations Manager. The ideal candidate will have experience managing volunteers, strong administrative and communication skills, a sound understanding of safeguarding, and the flexibility to respond confidently to the changing needs of a growing charity.
