Course Aims and Description: This is a developmental course targeted at those with responsibility for Child Protection and Safeguarding in their organisation or group.
The objectives of the course are to cover:
· The roles and responsibilities involved in being the lead for child protection and safeguarding in a voluntary group
· Creating a safe setting for staff and children and young people
· Exploring dilemmas and issues involved in progressing safeguarding concerns
Target Audience:
· Staff and volunteers who have responsibility for Child Protection and Safeguarding in their organisation or group
Costs: This is a FREE course for any delegate within the target audience group
This course is being run in partnership with the LSCB, and the venue costs have been waived by HVA.
This month's meeting theme is Warm Welcome spaces.
The cultural landscape of Hastings & St Leonards encompasses various organisations, events and initiatives that contribute to the areas vibrant culture scene. Culture plays a vital role in building strong communities, fostering social inclusion and empowering residents. Come and hear about the work of the Hastings & St Leonards Cultural Connections Group and have the opportunity to network with other organisations in the Arts & Culture arena who will have stalls in the Marketplace.
MECC (Making Every Contact Count) is a practical introduction to the skills in talking to people about the issues they are concerned about or the changes they are seeking to make. It is all about supporting people to identify and access the things that could help them. So if your work brings you into frequent contact with people and you want to improve the likelihood of making a real difference this training could be for you. A light lunch will be provided.
