The objectives of this course are:
- To give practical guidance on professional boundaries
- To appreciate the difference between friendship and supporting someone as a volunteer
- To explore the difference between professional, personal, legislative and policies or codes of conduct in relation to volunteers

The cost of this training is FREE for up to 2 representatives of HVA member organisations, as it has been subsidised by Hastings Voluntary Action and East Sussex County Council. However there will be a £40 penalty for non-attendance without at least 3 days’ notice.

Making Every Contact Count (MECC), this is a behavioural change technique which is now commonly used by health and social care staff during their day-to-day interactions or health appointments with individuals, although you don’t need to be in one of these roles to attend the training, it can be beneficial to anyone.
