Specialist Women’s Outreach Worker – East Sussex

As a Specialist Women’s Outreach Worker, you will work with women on an outreach basis to deliver an intensive, relationship-based model of support. You will drive good practice, working effectively within multi-disciplinary teams and utilising the expertise of BWC to contribute to enhancing safety, health, and well-being for the women you work with.

This role is funded by the Sussex Changing Futures programme. Changing Futures is a national initiative which aims to improve outcomes for adults experiencing multiple disadvantages including combinations of homelessness, substance misuse, mental health issues, domestic abuse and contact with the Criminal Justice System.

As well as contributing to improving outcomes for women on your case load, your role will also contribute to the wider systems change aims and outcomes of the Changing Futures project. You will participate in events and initiatives aiming to identify gaps and opportunities for change. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of driving that change starting at a local level.
Your role will be hosted by BWC which means you have access to BWC’s safeguarding and risk management structures, HR and line management support and staff wellbeing package. You will work in close partnership with another Specialist Women’s Worker hosted by Oasis Project. You will be co-located between the Rough Sleepers Initiative (RSI) team in East Sussex and BWC’s Eastbourne office, as well as delivering work on an outreach basis from community locations across the County as required.
BWC offers staff members a generous package of benefits including a wellbeing allowance and a well-being hour during the working week; clinical supervision; reflective group practice; access to therapeutic debrief as required; a comprehensive training package; opportunities for continuing professional development; staff social events; flexible working opportunities and a caring, understanding work environment that appreciates the complexities of women’s working and home lives.
