B1: Volunteering Strategy: Can we make Hastings one of the best places to volunteer? - HVA collaborated on some research with the Institute for Volunteering Research and are building a strategy to make Hastings an even better place to volunteer. Whether it is promoting opportunities, celebrating volunteers, helping people gain experience and qualifications or reaching out to new generation of volunteers, there is much that can be done. This workshop is an opportunity to hear about the research, give your views, and help shape a new volunteering strategy for Hastings.

B2: Men’s Health and Wellbeing in Hastings: shaping the future -
Context:
•    Life expectancy for men in Hastings and St Leonard’s is significantly lower than the national average.
•    Many initiatives have been delivered across the borough with the intention of improving health outcomes.
•    Individually, these have made a big difference to people who have had first-hand experience of them. However, this has not had an impact on the wider population.
•    For change to happen things need to be done differently than in the past.  A new approach is needed
Join us today to hear how men are at the front, and centre, of this project, leading the way and building on their wealth of life experience, knowledge, and strengths.

B3: Support for refugees - Find out about the work of HVA's Links project, which supports refugees and migrants in East Sussex.
