Thank you for considering hiring the downstairs space at Central Hall. This space is managed by Hastings Voluntary Action, and we hope that it will meet your needs. We try to offer space to hire at affordable rates for community use, and the following conditions will help us to keep our costs down.
Bookings and cancellations
Any online booking will be provisional until you have received confirmation from Hastings Voluntary Action. Bookings will be accepted for a wide range of community uses. Please ensure that the activity is appropriate for the type of space you have booked. Bookings will not be accepted for religious or political purposes. If a booking is cancelled at least 7 days in advance by emailing [email protected] there will be no charge; otherwise the full cost of the room hire booking will be charged. Hastings Voluntary Action will endeavour to fulfil any booking, but reserve the right to cancel a booking if necessary.
Care of the premises
Hastings Voluntary Action will ensure that your booked space is safe and clean. You are responsible for good order and care of the premises while you are using them, and leave the premises in a clean and tidy condition. Please report any faults or breakages to Hastings Voluntary Action. If you leave the premises in an unacceptable state, you may be charged for any repairs due to misbehaviour, or any additional cleaning.
Insurance
Please ensure that you have sufficient insurance cover.

Kitchen
We have a basic kitchen that can be used for light refreshments, for teas/coffees or to bring in pre-prepared food (such as sandwiches or biscuits).
Two kettles, urn, microwave, various crockery and teaspoons, etc are available to use. You will need to bring in your own tea/coffee/milk, etc.
