HCN Winter Readiness Event

Registration is closed for this event
With an unprecedented cost of living crisis, political uncertainty and pressures on health services, this winter looks like being a very challenging one that will impact negatively on some of the most vulnerable residents of the Borough. HVA is working with local organisations and will be collaborating in partnership with the Community Response Hub and the Hastings Community Network on the production of a Winter Readiness Plan. Whether it is keeping warm, access to grants or benefits, or maintaining good health, a planned and “joined up” approach is most likely to have real impact. This HCN event is part of this process and enables local organisations to contribute to the plan and share their ideas.

Hastings Borough Council (HBC) is in the process of drafting a new Housing Strategy for the town. This will be a five-year strategy with the aim of adoption by the Autumn 2025. It will set out how HBC will meet their ambition for everyone in the town to have a decent place to live. HVA are working with HBC to facilitate a session for community organisations to comment on the draft strategy.
