Volunteers make an enormous difference in their communities and many organisations would not be able to achieve or carry out the work they do without them. As a volunteer coordinator you play a key role in making the most of volunteering opportunities and supporting those who give up their time to help others.
Join your colleagues from across a wide range of local groups and organisations at the RVA Volunteer Co-ordinators Forum to explore together how we can continue to build a thriving volunteering culture in Rother.
As this will follow the Rother Community Network event (also held at Battle Memorial Hall), please stay and join us for refreshments before the Co-ordinators Forum at 13.45pm.

This month's meeting theme is Warm Welcome spaces.
Come and hear about the work of the Hastings & St Leonards Cultural Connections Group with a presentation from Mandy Curtis, the current Chair of the Group. Take the opportunity to network with other local organisations in the Arts & Culture arena who will have stalls in the Marketplace. Culture plays a vital role in building strong communities, fostering social inclusion and empowering residents and the cultural landscape of Hastings & St Leonards encompasses various organisations, events and initiatives that contribute to the area's vibrant culture scene.
MECC (Making Every Contact Count) is a practical introduction to the skills in talking to people about the issues they are concerned about or the changes they are seeking to make. It is all about supporting people to identify and access the things that could help them. So if your work brings you into frequent contact with people and you want to improve the likelihood of making a real difference this training could be for you. A light lunch will be provided.
