- The 'Tribe' digital volunteering platform that is being trialled in Hastings before being rolled out county wide. This will include a demo of the live interface.
We may also discuss some or all of the following:
- Hastings' new Volunteering Strategy.
- What sort of training do you/your volunteers need?
- Recruiting, retaining and training trustees.
- Volunteers' Week planning discussions, and taking a more collaborative approach to celebrations.
- There will also be space for questions and general discussion.

MECC (Making Every Contact Count) is a practical introduction to the skills in talking to people about the issues they are concerned about or the changes they are seeking to make. It is all about supporting people to identify and access the things that could help them. So if your work brings you into frequent contact with people and you want to improve the likelihood of making a real difference this training could be for you. A light lunch will be provided.
Free peer-to-peer learning and networking session with vegan lunch. this session will include an introductory training session on soft skills for volunteers.
Are you new in post or keen to find out more about the sector? This workshop, led by HVA Director Steve Manwaring, will include a briefing about the scale and contribution of the VCSE sector in Hastings, information about the services HVA provide, and an opportunity to hear about and discuss the key issues affecting the sector.
