Local voluntary and community organisations can apply for grants of up to £1,000 or £10,000 to run projects to improve people’s health and wellbeing in targeted neighbourhoods of Hastings and Rother. They are funded by NHS Hastings and Rother Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) and Artswork (the Bridge Organisation for the South East in support of Arts Council England’s Cultural Education Challenge).
Examples of projects might include: helping people get involved in exercise, using arts as a way to improve people’s mental health, creating a peer support group for people with a health condition, helping people to overcome barriers to accessing health services, or running an education or employment initiative for disadvantaged people.
This free briefing session at The Bridge Centre will cover the details of these grants, look at features of eligible projects, and explain the application process. Registration will be from 9.30am for a 10am start, with the formal part of the briefing session finishing by 12noon, and an opportunity to ask individual questions afterwards.
It would be useful for you to have read the application form and guidance notes before this briefing session - to obtain a copy visit https://www.eastsussex.gov.uk/community/funding/whoyouare/rhi/
The deadline for applications for standard grants of up to £10,000 is 7 July 2017. You can apply for a fast-track grant of £1,000 any time before that deadline.
This briefing session will be repeated on Friday 16 June morning at Hastings Voluntary Action, Jackson Hall, Portland Place, Hastings, TN34 1QN
