HVA have been working with the Institute for Volunteering Research on the largest ever survey about volunteering in Hastings and the team have now launched a report of the findings. Find out more here: http://www.hastingsvoluntaryaction.org.uk/news/major-study-shines-light-volunteering-hastings.
The results of the HVA/IVR study will now be used to create a volunteering strategy for Hastings and HVA want to involve as many local voices and ideas in the process as possible. We will be holding two focus groups in October:
Tuesday 11th October, 4pm-6.30pm & Friday 14th October 12pm-2.30pm.
To get involved in a focus group, help to develop the strategy or simply share your views and experiences, book here, or contact Jane Caley on: [email protected] or call 01424 444010.

This month's meeting theme is Intergenerational Work.
MECC (Making Every Contact Count) is a practical introduction to the skills in talking to people about the issues they are concerned about or the changes they are seeking to make. It is all about supporting people to identify and access the things that could help them. So if your work brings you into frequent contact with people and you want to improve the likelihood of making a real difference this training could be for you.
