MECC (Making Every Contact Count) is a practical introduction to the skills in talking to people about the issues they are concerned about or the changes they are seeking to make. It is all about supporting people to identify and access the things that could help them. So if your work brings you into frequent contact with people and you want to improve the likelihood of making a real difference this training could be for you. The programme takes place at Jackson Hall and is free.

Our monthly meeting for organisations and individuals working with/for older people locally
Ahead of the 2026 Fat Tuesday celebrations in Hastings, we are holding an umbrella workshop! Come along and decorate your umbrella, guided by a professional artist from Radiator Arts, and bring it to the Preservation Sunday parade. It will be a vibrant session, full of colour, and all materials will be provided. Please bring your own umbrella, try charity shops for interesting and affordable examples. We will provide fruit, light snacks and tea and coffee throughout the session.
This workshop is brought to you by the HVA Macmillan Cancer Champions project, that promotes conversations in our communities, and is open to all.
Register below or email Yasmine: [email protected] to book your place.
Look forward to seeing you there!
