Transition Town Hastings 10 Year Anniversary

This April marks the 10th anniversary of Transition Town Hastings visioning day at the White Rock Hotel and the start of a veritable bouquet of actions, events and activities that have changed our town for the better over the past decade! The most enduring has been the transformation of the area around Warrior Square station since 2015. From transforming a derelict and rubble-strewn hill into the stunning community garden on Platform 2, through the popular community notice-board, the biodiverse winding wildflower path and the awe-inspiring "Welcome to St Leonards' community mosaic, TTH members have contributed thousands of hours over ten years to improve our local neighbourhood for all who live and work here. Next Tuesday, April 22nd, is Earth Day and we're celebrating the amazing achievement in the Warrior Square Station Garden. You're invited to join TTH for refreshments at Platform 2, to share the spring beauty of the garden and catch up with old friends. We'll also be sowing wildflower seeds at The Space on St Johns Road, where Guerilla Joe has been hard at work clearing the sedge-choked, litter-strewn area to transform it into another beautiful new garden. We look forward to celebrating 10 years of TTH and sharing a bit of spring sunshine with you!
