Description
The NSMC is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to bringing about sustainable behaviour change in society. We have been appointed to operate the Hastings Safe Space on behalf of the NHS Hastings & Rother Clinical Commissioning Group.
Starting in December 2017, the Hastings Safe Space operates on Saturday evenings between 22.00 pm and 04.00 am in His Place Church, Robertson Street, Hastings.
The key objectives of the Safe Space are to provide a refuge space for any vulnerable person who needs help while out in central Hastings and to reduce the number of alcohol-related injuries.
The Safe Space is staffed by professional first aiders and trained volunteers and provides first aid services, refreshments, advice on staying same and signposting to other support services available in the town.
