Description
Care for the Carers is your local carers centre. We are a local, independent charity supporting unpaid carers in East Sussex. If you look after a relative, friend or neighbour who couldn’t manage without your help because of illness, disability, learning disability, mental health conditions, frailty or substance/alcohol misuse we are here to help.
Our team of staff and volunteers can provide free information, advice and support. We offer carers clinics in various locations across the county where you can talk confidentially to a Carers Support Worker. We can put you in touch with other carers, and offer a range of groups, training and events. In addition we can help you to plan for an emergency with a carers’ emergency alert card and keep you informed with CareLine magazine. We also have a dedicated Young Carers service.
We work with Adult Social Care, the NHS and other organisations, raising awareness of carers' needs, representing their views and influencing service planning and delivery.
