Description
The Group is run with the sole aim of serving all those in the area who are living with Motor Neurone Disease (MND) and their carers, family and friends.
The Group also has a team of trained Association Visitors who offer a befriending role providing support, information, and an ongoing link with the Motor Neurone Disease Association to people living with MND.
We can provide practical support in the form of liaison with health and social care professionals such as speech and language therapists, and the medical profession.
We can provide specialist equipment to improve the quality of life of all those affected by the disease.
Fundraising and raising awareness are also very important aspects of group activities, and we organise events throughout the year which are well supported.
