Description
Adfam is a national organisation set up to support family/carers of people with substance misuse problems.
The local project in East Sussex is commissioned by ESCC. We provide 1:1 support, peer support groups, information & skills sessions and counselling to address the problems problematic drug and/or alcohol use causes for family members and so that they can support their loved ones into treatment and recovery. We work with professionals across the county to highlight the impact on families and to ensure their needs are understood and met when planning and delivering services.
We were set up in Covid lockdown and continue to deliver most of our work remotely, with some in-person sessions in Hastings and Uckfield.
