Course Aims and Description: This is a developmental course targeted at those with responsibility for Child Protection and Safeguarding in their organisation or group.
The objectives of the course are to cover:
· The roles and responsibilities involved in being the lead for child protection and safeguarding in a voluntary group
· Creating a safe setting for staff and children and young people
· Exploring dilemmas and issues involved in progressing safeguarding concerns
Target Audience:
· Staff and volunteers who have responsibility for Child Protection and Safeguarding in their organisation or group
Costs: This is a FREE course for any delegate within the target audience group
This course is being run in partnership with the LSCB, and the venue costs have been waived by HVA.

It is all about supporting people to identify and access the things that could help them. So if your work brings you into frequent contact with people and you want to improve the likelihood of making a real difference this training could be for you. A light lunch will be provided.

To enable staff to identify and respond to child protection concerns and to become aware of ESCC Child Protection Procedures to encourage and develop effective inter-agency communication where child protection matters arise.
