Sensory Soft Play is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation Charity based in Hastings. We support parent carers’ of children and young people with SEND in Hastings and the surrounding areas. We provide respite sessions on a Saturday, Holiday Clubs, funded trips out, an on-line support Facebook page. Our activities include multi-sensory experiences, arts and crafts activities, forest school, soft play. We also have a Sensory Room that can be hired out by the hour.
We are looking for a part-time administrator to work 14 hours (pref two days a week but times and days are flexible).
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong organisational skills and a proactive approach to managing various administrative tasks. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our office, providing support to staff and contributing to overall efficiency.
Salary: £10,000 PA (Contract and funded for one year initially).

Overall purpose of Post
To provide a comprehensive range of administrative, secretarial services in support of the Charity as well as maintain a high standard of customer service and interpersonal skills so good verbal, written and computer skills are required
The role will also involve meeting and greeting customers when they arrive to use the services.
The applicant will be subjected to a DBS check and carried out by the charity for the successful candidate. This role will involve some lone working
Key Tasks
1. Administrative
Handle children’s registration applications, book trial sessions. Chase outstanding bookings.
Ensure that accurate records of all children attending the Centre are kept on the database.
Keeping up to date records of attendance and monies received.
Support in the collation and recording of Charity statistics and other monitoring information, requested by Funders of the Charity.
Updating and maintaining the website to provide accurate and up-to-date information.
Support Manager with information collation for monthly management reports including occupancy figures.
Deal with parent/carer enquiries, visitors, emails where appropriate
Other activities as required
2. Administration
2.1 Provide admin support to the Manager and project generally, and act as a reference point for enquiries.
3. Financial
3.1 Ensure that accurate accounts are kept and organise day to day petty cash transactions.
Ensure invoices are produced in a timely manner and any overdue fees are followed up. Chase any outstanding payments for Saturday Club.
4. Organisational
4.1 Ensure excellent customer service at all times.
4.2 Show people around the Centre and monitor our booking system. .
5. Publicity
5.1 Assist in preparing a range of charity’s publicity on Facebook and other social media
Other Duties
6.1 To be aware of and work within and promote Sensoft’s policies at all time and report any issues of concern.
6.2 To attend supervision, training and meetings as and when required.
6.3 To carry out any other reasonable duties as requested by Management
