Age Friendly Rother and HAIRE Project Lead

•    HAIRE is funded by the Interreg 2 Seas programme and co-funded by the European Regional Development Fund. We work in partnership with ESCC and during the pandemic trained volunteers to undertake significant assessment of need through guided conversations in and around Robertsbridge and Rye.
•    As a direct result of learning from the HAIRE programme several innovations are being piloted in East Sussex and Rother District Council (RDC) applied to be part of the World Health Organisation’s Age Friendly Cities and Communities Programme. RDC’s application was approved in September 2021.
•     RVA are working closely with RDC to embed this Age Friendly Rother agenda throughout the council’s work, ensuring their 5-year commitment remains as a tangible, legacy of HAIRE.

Hours of work:               17.5hrs -24hrs per week (TBC) (fixed 6 months post initially)
Salary:                               £32,000 (pro rata)
Benefits:                           5% pension contribution
25 days holiday (plus bank holidays) pro rata
Responsible to:                Age Friendly Rother and (HAIRE research) Project Lead
Area of work:                   Rother wide and RVA office in Bexhill
