Buddy Coordinator (part time)

The Refugee Buddy Project matches volunteers with newly arriving people seeking refuge across Hastings, Rother and Wealden. The Buddy Coordinator is responsible for allocating volunteers to people seeking refuge; managing the volunteers including regular one-to-one sessions; liaising with the Caseworkers from Hastings, Wealden and Rother Councils; and supporting those seeking refuge to access the services to which they are entitled.  The role also includes liaison with and monthly reporting to Project Partners Groundworks UK.

Salary: £25,000 pro rata
Hours: 0.6 FTE – exact days and times to be agreed upon recruitment
Start Date: 1st September 2021
Contract Type: Fixed Term to 31st December 2022 
Location: Hastings. Please note, due to National COVID restrictions, this position will be based at home initially. Once restrictions lift, it will be office based at an office location in Hastings.
