Project ADDER (Addiction, Diversion, Disruption, Enforcement and Recovery) has been launched by the Home Office to tackle drug use and dependency. The area of focus for East Sussex is Hastings, which has one of the highest drug-related death rates in England.

Project ADDER, CARE Navigation Service has a vacancy for a Care Navigator * (*only open to female applicants as being female is deemed to be a genuine occupational requirement under Schedule 9, Paragraph 1 of the Equality Act 2010).
Through Project Adder we are working with a number of agencies and charities to provide education and support to people affected by drug use and find a route out of dependency that is right for them.
This is an exciting opportunity to become part of the ADDER team, working within Care Navigation.
The role is for a female worker to be able to offer gender specific support to vulnerable female clients. It is expected that the worker would hold a mixed gender caseload.
Using an assertive outreach approach to engage clients who are difficult to reach and require that extra support.
You will need to be an excellent communicator, patient and determined to achieve the best outcomes for our clients.
We are looking for someone who has a passion for supporting clients positively, enabling people to live fulfilling lives with access to the best support for them. This is a chance for you to fully use your knowledge, skills and experience to enable better outcomes for the clients we support.
Car user essential.
Full-time: 37.5 hours weekly.
Salary: £20,000 – 24,000 (dependent on experience).
This post is pensionable (Employer’s contribution 5%).
This post is funded by ESCC grant awards and as such will be for a limited period. It is anticipated but not guaranteed that the first phase will be until May 2023. It is anticipated that a similar role will be open to candidates prior to that date.
Candidates can expect to be appointed at the end of a selection process or immediately funding is guaranteed whichever is later.
25 days annual leave, plus Bank Holidays
You will be offered clinical and informal supervision, along with opportunities for reflective practice.
Based in Hastings, East Sussex with potential travel out of area.
