35 hours per week 1 FTE
Are you:
• An experienced, organised, and inspiring operations manager.
• Passionate about delivering great customer service and a welcoming environment.
• Commercially minded, with an eye for an opportunity and an ability to achieve.
• Able to lead a multifunctional and diverse team.
Do you have:
• A minimum of two-years’ proven track record in managing a venue offering a wide range of activities, services, and catering/ hospitality.
• A proven ability in managing day to day operations efficiently and effectively, maintaining a safe and inviting environment at all times.
• Experience in setting standards across a range of disciplines, monitoring and supporting performance and reporting on results.
• Knowledge of an empathy for the needs of older people and the types of leisure activities, health and wellbeing services they require.
With oversight and support from our Business and Operation Director, the Centre Manager will lead the creation and development of the Isabel Blackman Centre as a vibrant and sustainable destination, enhancing the health and wellbeing of people in and around Hastings.
You will lead operations, providing vital leadership to the centre’s team of employees and volunteers, and will provide an excellent catering and hospitality service while creating and sustaining the centre’s reputation for quality, value, and service. You will lead overall planning and delivery, ensuring effective engagement and customer focus. Your commercial experience will ensure successful financial performance which supports overall financial sustainability.
You will be able to demonstrate an excellent track record of leading operations within a service, leisure venue, with knowledge and/or experience of hospitality. A self-starter, with a drive to achieve efficient and effective performance, and a passion for customer service, you will bring leadership that inspires your team of paid and voluntary staff.
This role is based at the Isabel Blackman Centre, Hastings which is being relaunched as a newly renovated and vibrant community space for older people and others who live locally.
