Sussex Community Development Association (SCDA) delivers a range of projects & services aimed at supporting the needs of vulnerable individuals and empowering and further developing community activity. We are now looking for an experienced individuals to join our Employability team:
Community Connectors
1 x Full Time, 37 hours per week based in Eastbourne, fixed term for up to 12 months to cover maternity leave
1 x Part time, 22.5 hours per week based in Hastings, fixed term until March 2023 in the first instance
Salary range - £21,748 - £24,492 pa pro rata, dependant on skills & experience
This is a great opportunity to join SCDA’s Employability team working on the Let’s Get Working (LGW) project. LGW is funded by the European Social Fund and the National Lottery Community Fund and supports people with long-term health conditions and disabilities to find work.
We are recruiting for experienced Community Connectors to offer intensive, ongoing and practical support to eligible clients, enabling them to access a range of services geared to supporting them back into sustainable work, learning or volunteering.
Ideal candidates will be able to demonstrate a successful track record in working supportively with vulnerable people, assisting & enabling them to access opportunities, and be accustomed to regular review and performance reporting.
You should be able to demonstrate excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills and ultimately you will be a confident and credible ambassador for SCDA, showing sensitivity to the aims & values of the organisation as a whole.
