Community Fundraiser

The Seaview Project is an award-winning community based charity rooted in the heart of St Leonards and reaching out to those living on the margins of society. 
 
In order to maximise our charitable income and implement a fundraising strategy, we are looking for an inspirational and self-motivated individual who can level up our fundraising and help us to engage the community.

We are open to engaging a community fundraiser in an employed or freelance capacity as set out below:

•    Position: Community Fundraiser (Freelance)
Contract: Freelance/self-employed
Contract Value: up to 24k per financial year
Hours: negotiable
Annual Leave: Not Applicable
Pension contribution: Not applicable

OR

•    Position: community fundraiser (employed)
Contract: Fixed term 12 months subject to Meeting target KPIs and funding with possibility of extension
Salary: Up to £24,000
Hours: Negotiable
Annual Leave: Pro rata dependent on hours (FTE 25 days per year + statutory days) 
Pension contribution: NEST scheme starting at 3 % matching contribution
     
The successful candidate’s core responsibilities will be to oversee and develop a dynamic fundraising strategy which may include: 

•    Meeting agreed upon financial targets.
•    Increasing the number of regular donors. 
•    Completing grant applications.
•    Building and maintaining relationships with potential donors and key stakeholders.
•    Maximising income from mid and high net worth donors including securing high value gifts,
trusts and legacies.
•    Managing the customer relations management software.
•    Initiating and implementing fundraising and awareness campaigns.
•    Liaison with Seaview management and colleagues to align strategy with current initiatives.
 
Candidates should have experience working in fundraising, a proven track record of raising funds, have an excellent understanding of the principles and processes of fundraising and customer relations and have ambitious ideas with a proactive and positive attitude.
