Community Volunteering Coordinator

St Michael's Hospice provide high quality, responsive palliative care and bereavement support across Hastings and Rother and work collaboratively with others to improve end of life care for all.

Are you as enthusiastic as we are about the power of people to make positive change in communities?  We are excited about the plans we have to extend and develop our community engagement volunteer programme to reach out to more people in Hastings and Rother living with advanced illness, death, dying and loss.

Funded by the Big Lottery Community Fund, we want to reach further into our community developing our volunteer led projects that will empower, connect and enrich people’s lives at a difficult time. Based in our Wellbeing Team as part of the Integrated Clinical Services Team, the successful candidate will work with the Compassionate Communities Lead to innovate and grow our offer to the community.  Our Befriending and Community Support projects are beginning to diversify as we move on and the successful candidate will be working with clinical teams in the Hospice and potential partners in the community to bring new life to our projects.

If you have experience of working with volunteers on people powered projects, enjoy working with and in the community, are a self-starter who likes the challenge of problem solving with creative and innovative solutions, we would love to hear from you.
