Count Me In (Multiply) Coach
Part time 22.5 hours per week
Based Hastings
Salary range: £24,982 –- £29,856 per annum pro rata
(Upper levels awarded for exceptional/highly experienced candidates)
Funded until 31st March 2025 in first instance
We are looking for an individual who is friendly, skilled and experienced in supporting people to access opportunities ideally related to work/learning and helping to manage budgets/have more confidence in practical maths. Multiply is designed to help people use numeracy to manage their money. These short, one-to-one, embedded maths sessions are for those who are unemployed or on low incomes, or at risk of homelessness, or are/vulnerably housed including care leavers who want to be able to manage their own finances more effectively.
You would be confident delivering one-to-one support sessions and meeting delivery targets relating to learner enrolment and progress, possibly with a teaching or coaching background.
From your experience, you will understand learners’ barriers to understanding budgets and practical maths, and have strategies to overcome them. Good people skills, plus a confidential, boundaried and non-judgmental approach are all important, along with the following attributes:
• Able to plan your own workload
• Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative
• IT literate, particularly working knowledge of Excel & using a database

The role is based in Hastings with occasional travel in East Sussex. Car driver and owner is not essential as the majority of delivery will be from SCDA offices in Hastings, but preferred as candidates will be required to travel economically and efficiently to outreach delivery locations. The post is subject to an enhanced DBS check.
