Early Help 0-19 Keyworker (x 5)

An exciting opportunity have arisen for highly-motivated individuals with skills and experience working in the area of family support.

East Sussex Early Help Service for families (0-19 years) is now seeking skilled individuals to work as Keyworkers across East Sussex.

As a Keyworker you will be responsible for delivering a range of interventions with families on your caseload. You will complete an assessment with each family and develop an Early Help Plan that identifies clear and measurable targets. You will then work closely with family members providing targeted support to assist them to make the changes identified in the Plan.

Crucially, you’ll need to be prepared to work with families that are experiencing challenges around education, mental health, domestic violence, Youth Offending, income inequality.  Early Help will also be supporting Ukrainian families settling in East Sussex.

We offer a great package of professional training to develop you and to give you the ‘tools to do the job’. You will be part of a Team of Keyworkers and will receive good supervision from an experienced manager. Our Early Help practice is high impact. We know we are making a difference because that’s what children and young people tell us.

You should have a QCF Level 4 qualification related to working with children, young people or families, as well as being able to show that you have a deep understanding of working with vulnerable families with complex needs. You will also need to have QCF Level 2 qualifications in Maths and English or be able to demonstrate competency in these areas through a test.

As a Children’s Service Department we have been rated Outstanding by Ofsted, we are ambitious on behalf of the children and families we work with and believe every role we recruit is a part of this success.  Ofsted said ‘The local authority is a strong, dynamic learning organisation that encourages self-reflection at all levels.’

Please only apply if you have a Level 4 Qualification [or above] that relates to working with children or young people or families.

For an informal discussion, please contact Claire Blake, Practice Manager on 01323 464009.
