In2play is a Community Interest Company, established since 2006 to support children and adults to play, learn and grow. We provide opportunities for Early Years, play and outdoor learning for children and families and are committed to the highest levels of safeguarding.
We are looking to recruit an Early Years Manager to continue to develop the excellent work of the predecessor for our Ofsted rated OUTSTANDING, In2play OUTDOOR PRE-SCHOOL for 2-5 year olds.
Early Years Manager
The role is to support children to reach their own individual potential and to ensure all children in their care are happy, safe and stimulated to play, learn and grow.
You will have the overall responsibility for the pre-school and staff team within it, ensuring they are performing to the highest standards.
You will implement and work within the statutory framework of EYFS and other legislative guidance and policies.
You will be the Safeguarding lead and always ensure that ratio and requirements are met.
You will get to know and develop professional friendly relationships with the families at the setting to create a trusting rapport with parents/carers and be able to manage parental queries, ideas and concerns in an efficient, timely and audited manner.
As a member of the In2play team you will also maintain a safe, secure and caring environment, act as a key person for a nominated group of children and to be responsible for planning, observing, assessments and record keeping in accordance with the EYFS. You will contribute feedback to the other areas of the business to assist in developing our strong reputation and values
Committed and enthusiastic, you’ll have plenty of energy to deliver play and Early Years opportunities, and have strong Early Years skills and experience. A love for the outdoor environment and a positive attitude about working in all weathers is essential as the pre-school is based outside.
Based at Hastings Adventure Playground 42 hours per week, term time only, over 5 days per week (8-4pm)
You must be prepared to work flexible hours. You will need to be a good communicator and an enthusiastic team player. You will ideally have at least 3 years’ experience of managing a pre-school/nursery and a relevant level 3 (or above) qualification. Qualification or experience in outdoor learning would be desirable. Pay will be £22964.33 pro rata for term time only.
