£27,514 per year FTE
30 Hours/week over 4 days | Fixed term contract until end July 2025

We are an award winning, innovative organisation aiming to empower those affected by substance misuse make choices that lead to change. Alongside drug and alcohol treatment services for adult women and specialist support for parents, we have dedicated services for children/young people affected by substance misuse in the family including therapy and a creche, a Sex Workers’ Outreach Project, a service for women who have had children removed from their care and support for young people new to treatment. We are looking for:
A Family Practitioner to deliver of groups and flexible and person-centred 1:1 work with parents in East Sussex to
support behaviour change in relation to substance misuse, build recovery capital and improve access to and
engagement with other professionals including children’s services. Groups will draw on resources from existing
evidence-based programmes being delivered at Oasis’ Project. Training will be provided on resources used and
there is opportunity in the role for practitioners to utilise their own knowledge and creativity within group design
and delivery.
You will have:
• Social Work Qualification or Nursing (RMN,RGN) or a related degree level qualification OR minimum of two
years’ experience working with children and families delivering a range of parenting programmes and
family interventions
• Proven track record of working collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team and participating in multiagency relationship building and working
• Understanding of the impact of drug and alcohol misuse issues on children and families
• Knowledge and experience of safeguarding procedures and responsibilities, confidentiality procedures and
data protection guidelines
• Resilient attitude that adheres to professional boundaries at all times
• Ability to work in a way that is reflective, adaptable and non-judgmental
