Family Practitioner (Female*)

Family Practitioner – (Female*) - £28,906(FTE)
Part-time (22.5 hours)  
Fixed-term until 31 March 2027
Team: Oasis Family Recovery Service
Hybrid-working: Working in the community (willingness and ability to travel within East-Sussex needed) & home. The office is in Hastings.

We’re looking for a Family Practitioner to provide individual and group-based support to women seeking support with drug or alcohol use, helping them make positive choices and take meaningful steps toward recovery. You may be the first 
person a client feels safe enough to open up to. 

Your empathy, understanding, and non-judgmental approach will be key in helping them feel heard and empowered to set and achieve personal goals. For over 27 years Oasis Project has been delivering services for women, children and families affected by substance use. We are an award-winning, trauma-informed organisation, aiming to empower those affected by substance use to

You will have:
- Proven experience in health and social care setting and/or social work qualification / nursing RMN RGN, NVQ level 3 in health and social care. 
- Proven track record of working within the drug and alcohol issues sector and managing a complex caseload.
- Substantial experience of delivering evidence-based family focused services and working with vulnerable families.
- Experience of working collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team and participating in multi agency relationship building and working.
- Experience of building relationships with parents and families even at times of difficulty or challenge.
- Understanding of the current issues related to drug and alcohol issues, in particular for women and families experiencing problems.
- Knowledge and experience of safeguarding and vulnerable adults legislation and processes.
- Experience in developing strategies to engage hard to reach families
