IBC Catering Assistant 

An exciting new opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Catering Assistant to join our dynamic and impactful charity and help launch and drive success in a new Centre for Hastings. 

IBC Catering Assistant 

Hastings, East Sussex. 
Salary:   £17,290
35 hours per week 1 FTE

Are you:
•    Excited about helping create a high-quality catering and hospitality experience. 
•    Someone who enjoys preparing great food.
•    Aware of what it takes to create a welcoming, clean, and attractive café environment on a consistent basis.
•    Keen to play an important role in a team of paid and voluntary catering and hospitality staff at the heart of our new centre. 

Do you have:
•    Passion for great food and customer service.
•    A talent for food preparation, preparing and cutting vegetables. 
•    At least one years’ experience of working in a café / restaurant environment as an assistant prepping food, counter serving and waiting tables.
•    Pride in doing a great job and the physical ability to undertake tasks such as lifting and moving tables, chairs, and stock on a daily basis.

Working alongside the Head Chef/Cook, and with oversight and support from our Centre Manager, this role plays an important part in creating the Isabel Blackman Centre as a vibrant and sustainable destination, enhancing the health and wellbeing of people in and around Hastings. You will help deliver the catering and hospitality service, playing a key role in building and sustaining its reputation for quality, value, and service.  Your role will include food preparation, counter set-up, maintaining café cleanliness, serving customers and taking payments. Great customer service lies at the heart of this role. 

This role is based at the Isabel Blackman Centre, Hastings which is being relaunched a newly renovated and vibrant community space for older people and others who live locally.
